Basin Street Hospitality Names Two Veteran Managers for Sonoma County’s New Hampton Inn & Suites Hotel Scheduled to Open in October

Greg Knoell Appointed General Manager and Bill Govan to Serve as Assistant General Manager and Director of Sales

WINDSOR, CALIF., Sept. 3, 2008 – Basin Street Hospitality, a division of Basin Street Properties, a prominent Northern California and Northern Nevada real estate investor of commercial and mixed-use properties, named Greg Knoell general manager and Bill Govan assistant general manager and director of sales for the new Hampton Inn & Suites in Windsor, Calif. The 116-room hotel, nestled in the heart of Sonoma County’s wine country, is part of the Hilton family of hotels and will open in October 2008.

“Greg and Bill, both wine country natives, are accomplished hotel executives and have managed other Basin Street hotel locations,” said Tom Birdsall, managing partner of Basin Street Hospitality. “Their management capabilities, extensive hospitality industry backgrounds, and knowledge of the region, will ensure that the new Hampton Inn & Suites upholds the Basin Street Hospitality standard of excellence.”

Knoell was previously the general manager at Basin Street Hospitality’s Holiday Inn Express in Corning, Calif. Prior to that, he served as the general manager for several hotels including the Hilton Garden Inn in Redding, Calif., Holiday Inn in Vallejo Calif., Ramada Inn, in Vallejo, Calif., and Point Marina Inn in Point Richmond, Calif.

Govan joins the Hampton Inn & Suites from Basin Street Hospitality’s Sheraton Sonoma County, in Petaluma, Calif., where he was the operations manager and director of catering. Prior to that, he spent a number of years managing the food and beverage services of leading hotels including serving as the dining room manager at the Madrona Manor in Healdsburg, Calif., the director of food and beverage at the Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa in Sonoma, Calif., and the food and beverage manager at The Ahwahnee in Yosemite National Park.

The Hampton Inn & Suites in Windsor is Basin Street Hospitality’s first new-build hotel.
