RENO, Nevada - August 9, 2006 – Basin Street Properties, a prominent Northern California and Northern Nevada investor and developer of commercial and mixed-use properties, announces its newest tenant to Bank of America Plaza at 50 West Liberty. The law firm Beckley Singleton, Chartered has signed a 10-year lease for 12,000 square feet of office space raising the building’s occupancy rate more than 80 percent.
"Downtown Reno is undergoing a major revitalization and businesses, such as Beckley Singleton, are attracted to the many opportunities the area has to offer. This is an example of the growing trend of companies moving to the downtown region," said Scott Stranzl, vice president of leasing for Basin Street Properties. "We are excited to accommodate Reno’s growth by offering existing and emerging companies Class "A" office space in the heart of downtown and in close proximity to the city’s many offerings."
According to David Mc Elhinney, vice president of Beckley Singleton, "We have been carefully observing and monitoring the renaissance and renovation of downtown Reno and we are pleased and excited to be a part of it. We are better able to meet and service our clients’ needs by coming back downtown. Our new strategic location at the 50 West Liberty building keeps us attuned to the pulse and goings on of the city, and there are obvious advantages to being immediately adjacent to the federal courthouse and the state court complex. It was a pleasure working with Basin Street, who accommodated our office space needs, and we look forward to a long-term relationship."
Beckley Singleton concentrates its practice in several areas of the law including litigation, appellate, transactional, gaming, employment law, bankruptcy and corporate reorganization. The firm provides statewide representation to its clients, currently employing a combination of approximately 25 attorneys and staff here in northern Nevada with an additional 30 attorneys in its Las Vegas office. Relocating from the location of Plumas and Plumb in Reno, the firm will take occupancy at 50 West Liberty effective February 2007.
