Basin Street Properties Expands Reno Presence as Leading Commercial Real Estate Investor Begins to Focus on New Emerging Western Markets

Expansion to Include Addition of Key Departments, Job Growth and New Office Space

RENO, Nevada, July 13, 2009 – Basin Street Properties (www.basin-street.com), a prominent Northern Nevada and Northern California real estate investor of commercial and mixed-use properties, is expanding its presence in Reno to meet growing opportunities throughout various geographic locations in the Western United States. Basin Street’s finance, accounting, leasing and marketing departments, previously housed in the company’s Petaluma, Calif. office, will now be serviced from Reno generating approximately 14 additional full-time positions. The company will also relocate to new office space totaling 7,000 sq. ft. at its 300 E. Second Street building in downtown Reno, effective August 17, 2009.

“Reno is critical to our overall business strategy as we are seeing increasing opportunities to expand our real estate services throughout the Western region,” said Matt White, president of Basin Street Properties. “To access these opportunities, our Reno office will operate as a central hub as we grow our portfolio while continuing to manage and develop our Northern California properties.”

Basin Street will focus primarily on real estate projects in its office and hospitality sectors in emerging markets in Oregon, Utah and Idaho and parts of Northern California. In Reno, the company’s portfolio includes more than 600,000 square feet of office and retail space throughout four projects. Basin Street’s current hospitality portfolio consists of five hotel projects in Reno and the San Francisco Bay Area, and in Northern California, Basin Street owns and manages 1.5 million square feet of office, residential, retail and office space throughout Napa, Petaluma, Santa Rosa and Sacramento.
