Basin Street Properties Secures Four New Tenants at Petaluma Marina Business Center After Recent Acquisition

PETALUMA, CALIF. – May 5, 2010 – Basin Street Properties (www.basin-street.com), a prominent Northern Nevada and Northern California real estate investor of commercial and mixed-use properties, has signed four leases at the newly acquired Petaluma Marina Business Center. The Class “A” Petaluma Marina Business Center is comprised of three office buildings totaling approximately 116,000 square feet, and is adjacent to the existing 183-room, award winning Petaluma – Sheraton Hotel, which is part of Basin Street Hospitality.

New tenants include the following:

  • Cantella and Co., Inc., a brokerage and investment management firm, signed a three-year lease agreement for approximately 780 square feet. Located on 775 Baywood Dr., the lease will commence on May 1, 2010. Tony Sarno and Mike Thomason of Keegan and Coppin represented Basin Street.
  • Robert Oatley Vineyards, a wine wholesale and marketing company, signed a three-year lease agreement for more than 1,230 square feet at 775 Baywood Dr. The lease will commence on June 1, 2010. Rich Henderson and Cassidy Turley of BT Commercial represented the tenant and Sarno and Thomason represented Basin Street.
  • REFA Investments, LLC, an investment management firm, signed a three-year lease agreement for nearly 3,115 square feet that will commence on May 1, 2010. The tenant will be located at 765 Baywood Dr. Glen Dowling of Cushman & Wakefield represented REFA Investments and Sarno and Thomason represented Basin Street.
  • Sequoia Wealth Management, a financial services company, signed a two-year lease agreement for nearly 820 square feet at 765 Baywood Dr. The lease commenced on April 1, 2010. Sarno and Thomason represented Basin Street.

Basin Street acquired the Petaluma Marina Business Center in a joint venture partnership with Marina Office Park Associates (“MOPA”) in December. It is situated adjacent to the Petaluma River with access and visibility to Highway 101, and views of the nearby foothills. After taking ownership, Basin Street provided a number of capital improvement projects, including landscape, signage, and exterior and interior upgrades.
