Basin Street Properties Names Maureen Highland Marketing Director
for the Company’s Petaluma Retail Portfolio
Local Resident to Support Basin Street’s Retail Tenants in Theatre Square and
Golden Eagle Shopping Center
PETALUMA, Calif. – February 9, 2009 – Basin Street Properties, a prominent Northern California and Northern Nevada real estate investor of commercial and mixed-use properties, named 15-year Petaluma resident Maureen Highland as marketing director of its Northern California retail portfolio. Highland comes to Basin Street with 18 years of experience and was most recently a property marketing specialist for CB Richard Ellis’ Vintage Oaks project in Novato, Calif. In her capacity as marketing director, Highland will primarily focus on creating and implementing opportunities for merchants in Theatre Square and the Golden Eagle Shopping Center in Petaluma.
According to Scott Stranzl, vice president of leasing for Basin Street Properties, “We all know the current state of our economy and that the retail sector has been hit particularly hard. Prior to joining Basin Street, Highland was with CB Richard Ellis for nearly 10 years and served as a specialist in property marketing and marketing director, respectively. She helped create and implement marketing plans; produced marketing materials; served as a liaison with the media; coordinated tenant programs and assisted with event sponsorships and promotional events. Prior to that, she was the director of promotions and special events for PIER 39, Ltd. and also served in such capacities as assistant director of travel industry sales, and marketing assistant for the well-known San Francisco destination.
