Basin Street Properties Signs YMCA of the Sierra to Occupy Prime Ground Floor Space in Recently Acquired West Liberty Plaza

YMCA Plans for Regional Growth in Reno With Wellness Center Relocation

RENO, Nev., February 23, 2006 – Northern California-based Basin Street Properties, a prominent developer of commercial and mixed-use properties, has signed a YMCA of the Sierra to occupy retail space at 50 West Liberty (formerly Bank of America Plaza) in downtown Reno. This prime location is part of the YMCA’s efforts to enhance its downtown presence for the business community and accessibility for families by moving the Reno Family Center Activate America Health & Wellness Center to the new location, which is set to open in summer of 2006.

Basin Street acquired 50 West Liberty, a premier Class "A" twelve story downtown Reno office tower, in December 2005. YMCA will occupy ground-level space and will join such marquee companies in the facility as Bank of America, Deloitte & Touche, Lionel Sawyer & Collins Ltd., New York Life, and HMC Architects.

"With the YMCA as the anchor tenant at 50 West Liberty, we are continuing to offer our tenants, as well as the overall business community, convenient access to local amenities – a common goal for all of our properties," said Matt White, president of Basin Street Properties. The YMCA is a community benefit not-for-profit organization that uses community donations and membership dues to pay for financial assistance for children and programs fees for families that could otherwise not afford those services. It is the policy of the YMCA for the Sierra to turn no one away based on their inability to pay. The YMCA continues to be a main not-for-profit childcare provider in northern Nevada, which 40 percent of the more than 500 children they care for each day, receiving financial assistance.

50 West Liberty (Bank of America Plaza) is located at the corner of West Liberty and Virginia Streets in Reno’s downtown office core. The building occupies a premier location and accommodates a variety of tenants and industries, including financial services, insurance, legal and consulting firms.
