Three New Tenants Call Basin Street’s Woodside Office Center Home

Capital Insurance Group, MCapital Funding LLC and Synectic Technologies Occupy Nearly 5,000 sq. ft. at State-of-the-Art Novato Property

PETALUMA, Calif. – March 10, 2005 - Basin Street Properties, the leading developer of commercial and mixed-use properties in Sonoma, Marin and Napa counties, has signed lease deals with three new tenants in its Novato-based Woodside Office Center: Capital Insurance Group, MCapital Funding LLC and Synectic Technologies, leasing approximately 5,000 sq. ft.

“Woodside is an attractive property for companies looking to establish roots in the North Bay,” said Scott Stranzl, vice president of leasing, Basin Street Properties. “This Class A building provides our tenants along with flexible space sizes from 1500 sq. ft. and up, with a host of amenities setting Woodside apart from other facilities in the region.”

Monterey, Calif.-based, Capital Insurance Group provides claim and underwriting services. With locations throughout California, the company’s North Bay presence will enable Capital Insurance to serve as a regional carrier to its growing customer base. The company will occupy 1,134 sq. ft. for six years. “Woodside Office Center is an aesthetically pleasing building, and the location is in close proximity to many of our clients,” said John Reynoso, senior production specialist of the Novato office of Capital Insurance Group. “Offering a number of valuable benefits, Woodside is the ideal location for both our customers and employees.”

Signing a five-year lease for 2,082 sq. ft., MCapital Funding LLC is a finance lender providing mortgage pool investment funds. According to Manager David Neseralla, “We have a well-established relationship with Basin Street Properties and searching for the right office space was simple, making the move a seamless transition. Woodside offers everything we need – top-notch office space conveniently located to many cafes and restaurants in the area and the Highway 101 corridor.”

Headquartered in Sacramento, Calif., Synectic Technologies has signed a five-year lease for 1,613 sq. ft. The company specializes in designing, installing and servicing VoIP telephony solutions. A gold certified Avaya reseller, Synectic has more than 25,000 customers. “We are expanding our operations and presence in the Bay Area, and a space that provides room for growth along with the convenience of downtown Novato, were both very important when choosing a new location,” said Sean O’Connor, general manager of Synectic Technologies. “We are pleased to be the newest tenant at Woodside.”

All three lease deals were represented by Steven Leonard of Meridian Commercial and Brian Foster of Meridian partnered with Leonard in representing Capital Insurance Group. Basin Street represented itself in the deal.

Woodside Office Center is located at 7250 Redwood Boulevard in downtown Novato. The 89,000-sq.-ft. development is the most modern office building available for lease in the area, wired with broadband access, a state-of-the-art HVAC/lighting energy management system, an after-hours control system with individual computerized energy controls, an automated card key system and secure parking.
